Up until the last two years my oldest and dear friend who was 89 years old was my source of inspiration and wisdom.  She was widowed for twelve years and made it clear she would never marry again.  This position in life seems to be popular among many widows.  I have been widowed for twenty years.  Marriage was something I enjoyed for it allowed me to build a foundation to live upon while I faced the world with its challenges.  But why was I not married and so many other widows?  Because many widows and widowers know the chances of being loved again are slim or nearly impossible.

 How did we end up so alienated from one another?  Many of us will leave this world without a true partner and soul mate, because love has become difficult to embrace.  For sure if you have ever been loved, you know when you have been shortchanged.  How can a widow or a widower ignore the reality that though someone is kind and wants to be with you that this does not mean he or she loves you?  It can't be ignored because love is something that can't be denied.  It has a power of its own that touches your heart in the presence of the one who loves you.  To accept kindness as love has costs many people grief.

 Love today is not the love I remember.  Love cares about your feelings, desires and that which makes you smile. It is a selfless sharing that allows the other person to be energized, lifted up to a state of fulfillment.  With this love, you want to do great things for mankind.  It is not something you just share in your home you go out into the world to bring light and hope to a world lacking in the beauty of love. Today, love means I will tolerate or be with this person because it makes my life easier and less lonely.  It is not about keeping the one you love strong and encouraged.

 Love has the spirit of appreciation.  You can't do enough for one another through the hard and good times.  If you have to question whether someone loves you, chances are they do not love you.  They just care enough about you to get their needs met leaving you needing more than they care to give.  This is not the best relationship you can have.  Many people live in the same house with their spouses and are very alone.  This is not love it is convenience and you are cheating yourself.  You deserve more than that.  You deserve to be adored, caressed, wanted and enjoyed by your companion.

Sometimes, love is not enough.  Being in love with the one you love stimulates action.  Love grounds but being in love specializes the union. This brings the magic and splendor that motivates couples to be physically conscious of one another.  You just don't forget the twinkle in each others' eyes making love ageless and welcoming.  And this earthly bonding makes it easy to not desire any other.  My 89 year old friend, Mrs. Bass loved her husband and he loved her.  I still see that twinkle in their eyes when they would talk to one another.  Their love was strong and filled with much playing.  His love carried on even in his death as he made sure she would not want for anything while he was gone.  Her head was always held high and she was always at peace.  When she would mention Mr. Bass, a glow would fill the room especially when she said no one today compares to the love Bass gave me.  He just wanted me to be happy.

Being alone for many proves to be the best state to live in today because once you've been loved, you know when you have been shortchanged.  Sad to say, many have not been genuinely love to know the difference.  To you I say, be aware of your feelings.  They are crying and talking to you for a reason.  Don't fool yourself.  If you do, you will remain lost.

I call it a disgrace.

LOVE IS WORTH HAVING.  DON'T LET THIS WORLD FOOL YOU IN THINKING DIFFERENTLY....message from my heart.

When I look at the world today, I cannot help but wonder how we have come to accept the programming this world has infiltrated into our minds when it comes to matters of the heart.  I mean look at all the lonely people in the world.   Why is there so little love to go around in a world filled with so many people?  The answer is easy, we as the human race are being conditioned to not believe in the power of love.

As the world continued to become more busy and noisy, the soul of mankind was silenced.  We do not move from the inside out to get to the best state of being in life.  Instead we move from the outside in trusting external sources to tell us what is best for ourselves.  For instance, the world knows the word love has an ancient vibration to the soul of humanity that makes it want it and desire to hear the words "I love you" to feel special and connected to one another.  So, love was a word left to be defined in so many definitions allowing no actual accountability to the person who decides to say "I love you" to someone.  Many say it knowing the receiver is automatically drawn in just because of human needs.

Usually when a person is asked to define what they mean when they say "I love you", you usually get, you know what I mean, I can't explain it I just know I do or it makes me crazy about you etc.,.  These shallow meanings found from both individuals promises a shallow foundation and a weak bridge to build an eternity upon.  Strangely, people do not realize it was their two unique meanings of love that caused the eventual collapse in the relationship.  They actually felt just saying the words guaranteed a bright future.  They learned to be shallow by following the world.

The love stories we find on TV make you think love is something you go get not something that gets you because that would mean you have to deal with more than your physical presence in the world.  Your soulmate is not someone the world finds for you.  He or she is a gift from God, the giver of love, life and eternity.  I know the world would have you believe it has what it takes to match you with that perfect mate.  How can it when the world does not bring forth life?  Love in all actuality is God manifesting His specialized care to His creations.  When He wants you to really experience His distinguished love for you, a special love will manifest and that love will be you in the opposite gender naturally able to love you through eternity.

I am experiencing my soulmate.  We share one major denominator and that is GOD as the foundation of our lives.  Both he and I, love the power of words and the sharing of them to enrich the lives of ourselves and others.  We would like to share this spiritual journey with you.  Please join me in sharing my soulmate's journey as he allows God to share the true meaning of love.

“I have had one of the worst days of my life.  My publicist turns out to be a registered sex offender.  She made a mockery of my work about sexual abuse.”

“Wow, Mom!  How could you have known that with her being so concerned about getting your message out?”

“She willfully joined my work to destroy it!”

“Mom, don’t be so hard on your self.  You trusted her and that is no crime.”

“You don’t understand I have lost everything to a predator.  She knew my work was about helping people who have been victimized!”

“I’m sorry you are so upset, Mom.”

“On top of that, I was turned down for a promotion on my job.  Everybody else but me was moved up!”

“That’s cold!”

“My car wouldn’t start this morning and I had to call AAA to jump it making me late for work.  I needed that time lost for something else.”

“Mom, we are going to have to go to Wal-Mart.”

“Wal -Mart?”

“Yeah and we are going right now!”

“What are we going there for?”

“To get you some straws so that you can suck it up!”

“What?”

“Yeah, Mom, we are getting you some straws so that you can suck it up!”

“Wait a minute!  Didn’t you hear what I just told you?”

“Yeah, I heard you and that is why we are going to Wal-Mart.”

                Baffled and mentally confused I looked at my son like he had to be out of his mind.  Here I am agonizing over my day and he tells me we are going to Wal-Mart to get me some straws.  We were sitting in a booth at Red Lobster when all this occurred.  I looked a round and looked back at him and burst out laughing.  I didn’t know what else to do.   It was like my emotions were tripped up and they didn’t know what to feel in this moment.  My son was laughing and smiling so enjoyably that I felt the blessedness of his state of mind.

                “You know, I can’t even be mad at you.  You just took me out of my world of misery and placed me in a state of happiness.”

                “You will be alright.  You always say everything happens for a reason.”

                That moment was so profound that I wanted to cry with joy in my heart because it was revealed to me that it was time to feel something else besides pain.  I was justified in my pain and disappointment.  But it did not mean I had to stay there.  As I re-assessed my day, I realized my son gave me what he had, his sense of humor and desire for me to be happy.  I had to choose to accept pain or pleasure. 

                The thing about being victimized is victims must eventually choose to release the experience or let it control their lives.  My day was not just awful it was beautiful.  I was blessed to sit in my favorite restaurant and enjoy my son.  True, my losses were great in reference to my publicist stealing my work, trust, money and dreams but it was important for me to understand my own belief:  “Everything happens for a reason”.  My belief was correct.  I was able to write a book about my experience that revealed to me that without it, I would not be able to profoundly assist in the healing process of childhood victimization. 

                When I got home that evening, I laughed to myself because I couldn’t believe my son had the audacity to make a joke out of my suffering.  Even to this day, I laugh about it because laughter was found in me even when I felt like crying.  Imagine if you will listening to someone pour out their heart to you about their inner pain and you listen tentatively and even offer words of understanding their plight.  Just when they think you are joining them with compassion and empathy, you gently steer their thoughts to the nearest store to purchase them some straws that they may SUCK IT UP!  You laugh uncontrollably because you know what you are doing and they don’t.  They look at you with the most complex disbelief but laugh with you.  That moment will always be with you and that person because it forces the choosing to let go and accept the goodness of this moment.  I call it instant healing.

                Of course, we know some situations you do not go there.  But trust me there are so many opportunities to go there.  Somebody out there needs to SUCK IT UP!  Help them get there. 

I don't know about you but this Christmas Season did not have the spirit of Christmas as I remembered it could have. Happy Holidays didn't do it for a lot of people and it showed up in the atmosphere. To think our dictators took time out to remove Merry Christmas from celebrating conscious after all of these years, yet they can't catch Bin Laden nor establish security for our children. I tell you, something is wrong with this picture.

As we approach the New Year celebration, I pray people will begin to see the programming the world system induces into our conscious. There is more to life than struggling to get more material wealth. If we do not introduce the other missing elements of life into our conscious, we are going to have to prepare ourselves to be surrounded by heathens that do not care how we feel about anything. Children are being denied full development of their souls due to materialism. Appreciation, respect, good character, love etc. are not priorities anymore in preparing children  to become adults.

It is extremely important that we each individually get in touch with gratitude and appreciation for having another day of life to be able to see, talk, laugh, hear, smell and to choose what is best for self and mankind. Instead of complaining about not getting a new car, pair of shoes, nails and hair done, promotions etc., thank God you are alive. Start this New Year praying people will choose to be a better human being for the sake of diffusing the selfish acts of many people.

Before you think you have it bad or deserve more, think about a family who birthed a son with no limbs. This young man is more appreciative to being alive than many of us with large bank accounts, all our limbs, loved ones alive, etc. He is so grateful that he tells the world how blessed he is to be alive. And, he is more independent than the average person because this young man, Nic Vujicic uses everything God gave him to the best of his ability. We can learn something from him. We can re-establish our priorities and open our eyes to love, caring, giving and turning away from greed and selfishness of ourselves and authority figures that take from us to stay rich.

HAPPY NEW YEAR should mean returning home to our souls---our first realization of knowing we are blessed to be alive and we are here to love one another not just get more stuff. Begin again. Nic Vujicic knows why we are born. He is amazing! Join me in observing the true meaning of life:

If I had a daughter I would tell her to understand she is a gift from God. I would instill that in her from the day she is born. There would be no competition between us as far as winning daddy’s affections or proving I am the better female. I would tell her there was a time it was considered a curse to have a daughter verses having a son. But that time is over because now the female child can be adored, respected and looked upon as intelligent.

I would tell her to always know she is a unique creation of God and God is something or someone deep in her heart. I would teach her to value this invisible presence at all times and to shield it from the temptations of the world. First and foremost she must always understand that boys are totally different than girls in more ways than just physical. I would let her know each year of her life requires a different understanding of the male species.

First of all, the boy is a hunter and he thrives to satisfy his senses. It is human nature for him to desire to devour her body but it does not mean you should surrender it to him, especially when God is your first love. I would teach her to understand it is normal to feel sensations in her distinguished female areas of her body that the male yearns to touch and explore. But understand this is human nature. This urgency is the continuation of the human species. Know precious daughter it is not your responsibility to give your body away for this natural process. The alluring of the eyes of the beholder and his strong desire to have you is no different than what happens with the animals in the jungle. It is called mating to bring forth life.

True, it appears romantic and magical when you read about it or watch it on TV. This is just a smoke screen to sedate you as your soul, spirit and relationship with God is compromised for a moment of lustful fulfillment. Once the sperm is released, things are never the same because God was not in it and He was put on hold while your self-value is dropped. Before you take off those panties, remember you are not alone. God is there and hoping He is chosen over satisfying the lusts of the flesh of another.

Once you have allowed yourself to become naked before the eyes of a male, you risk the chance of being an instrument for sexual pleasure and never seen as a flower again. The boys share their experiences with one another as though their experience was a just reward for all their efforts for cunning you into his bed. Virginity is special for it represents oneness with God. God has something for you when you wait for your mate and trust Him to choose him for you.

There are other things going on in life for God’s children besides sweating between sheets. There is much to be done in bringing light into a world where God was not considered instead of sex. The outcome is greed, lust, drugs, sexual abuse and hate. All just because one girl, someone’s daughter did not value herself as a child of God. Honor yourself. See the opposite sex as a means to exercise spiritual truth not sexual arousal for the outcome is illegitimate children and a cry for the father to be in their lives. Go in to the world knowing God is with you always. If only someone had told them.

Love is real. It is not based on being wanted and needed. It is based on a silent knowingness that together we can make a difference in this world. My daughter, your most important homework assignment is finding out whom or what God is and living it each day of your life.

I found out today that when love is free in your life, you understand it is not a choice. Love is surrendering to being more than a human being. It has to be more than a human experience to work magic in our lives. Though it appears we define love to mean whatever we want it to mean, it has no significance when it is moving in our lives. Love was here before we came into existence and will be here when we physically leave. What is this powerful force misunderstood in this world? It is the guaranteed manifestation of God at all times whether we acknowledge it or not. Love is that hidden certainty in all those who seek God. It is a gift and it is always there whether we accept it or not. If we accepted this gift, we would not want anything else in life for it would fulfill every desire in our hearts.

I find it very interesting how people face the world as though they know everything. The reality is, no one knows everything so why do we act like they do when it comes to our lives. We let the world decide who or what we are and how valuable or valueless we are based on programmed terms.

The world lets us know how it feels about us. But, we ignore all the evidence. Systems are established all over the world designed to keep us moving steadily along with giving our time of existence away. If we are not working, we are seeking further education. If we are not doing that we are seeking preachers to tell us about God and ourselves. We should ask ourselves the question: Who really wants us to be well, happy and free? And who doesn't.   Anyway you look at it the world does not have our best interest at heart.

They need for us to always be needy about something in our survival. They want us to rely on their choices for our lives. Take this pill, try this program, let us find you a mate, God expects..., be willing to die for our choices no matter what they are, get a degree, we will let you in farther to our games of getting, etc. All our lives we follow the voices of needy people needing us to be like the scare crow on the wizard of Oz....do not have a brain, use ours. We will be your guide until you die. They have us convinced we need them. The truth is they need us to be somebody in the world they have made.

We don't stop the madness. Yet, people dissect the Bible like it came into the world to destroy and misguide us into a life of doom. It is just a book that has survived time. Why do people attack it? Why do they not dissect the minds of leaders and those in position to make this a better place? We see where their choices have gotten us--- terrorized and unable to love one another. That just a book is a powerful presence in life and we know it. No matter how we judge,scrutinize,reject, curse, avoid, use it to control others, etc., we know it is from our Creator. It's amazing how it just looks at you and strip you naked in one verse.

The Bible tells us, we know in part. We will only know in part until God reveals more. Case closed. Do you think the Creator of humanity would give us the whole truth knowing our tendencies to self-destruct? There is no way. Look at how people act when they think they know so much. They abuse knowledge and kill people with it. Most know-it-all people are so judgmental of others that they can't love deeply. Only those who have a heart for God knows the bottom line. His own hear his voice even in a world of lost sheep.
